Sulphate Resisting Portland Cement - Tamper proof quality
Saurashtra Cement Ltd., Ranavav is a dry process Cement Plant using latest Precalciner Technology (Inline as well as Separate Line Calciner).
Limestone (Low alumina, alkali & Magnesia) from captive mines is crushed to size of less than 75 mm and stacked with the help of Stacker in horizontal layers in the form of a pile. Corrective materials such as Marl, Sandstone, Iron ore / Iron sludge etc. are also added in the pile.
The pile thus prepared is cut vertically with Reclaimer and fed to Vertical Roller Mill for grinding as powder. As per the requirement of quality norms other corrective material is added to Raw Mill during grinding. The ground material is fed to the blending silo for homogenisation. The blended Raw Meal is fed to Kiln for burning.
Raw Meal fed to the Preheater tower is calcined upto the required level (more than 85% calcination) and enters into the Kiln where sintering takes place. Clinker is formed at the temperature of around 1350 to 1450oC. Coal is fired in calciner as well as in Kiln to provide energy for calcination and sintering process. Hot Clinker is air cooled in IKN KIDS and Pendulum cooler for stabilisation of phases of Clinker.
Composition of Raw Mix (Variable)
Limestone 75% to 85% Mineraliser 1% to 2% Iron Sludge / Iron Ore 3% to 5%
Sandstone 8% to 12%
SRPC Clinker with required amount of Gypsum is fed to Cement Mills for cement grinding. Ground Cement is stored in predefined Cement Silo. While packing cement is drawn from silo into the packer bin via air slides and elevators. From the packer it is packed in the bags.
Composition ( Variable) :-
Clinker 94% to 96% Gypsum 4% to 6%
